The Story Behind Connect Lake Elmo

Connect Lake Elmo was created from a simple goal: to bring our residents, businesses, and non-profits closer together. What started as a series of community conversations in 2021 evolved into a dedicated non-profit by April 2022. With the support of the City of Lake Elmo and the Greater Stillwater Chamber of Commerce, we’ve built a platform dedicated to local events, supporting Lake Elmo businesses, and building meaningful connections across our community. Our visual identity—created in partnership with Stillwater Area High School graphic design students—reflects our mission to bridge the gap between long-time neighbors and newcomers alike.  With a clear mission and vision to connect Lake Elmo residents, businesses, and non-profit partners, the group decided on the name, "Connect Lake Elmo."

Thank you to the City of Lake Elmo, the Lake Elmo City Council, the Lake Elmo Fire Department, and Washington County Sheriff's Department for your partnership! A special shout out to the following organizations which provided significant financial support from the initial formation of Connect Lake Elmo. We couldn't have done it without you!  Lake Elmo Rotary Club  |  Lake Elmo Bank  |  Sally Manzara Nature Center.  Lastly, Connect Lake Elmo relies on many volunteers from the community to make community events a reality. Thank you!
