2025 will mark the 37th year of The Lake Elmo Kids 4th of July Parade. Decorate your wagon, tie up your blue and red shoelaces, hop on your bike, or start your tractor! We look forward to another small-town 4th of July celebration in downtown Lake Elmo.
The parade started with a handful of children parading up Lake Elmo Avenue, to celebrate our independence. The parade has grown to over 1,000 kids of all ages, and Connect Lake Elmo is honored to carry on this special tradition in partnership with the Lake Elmo Rotary, the City of Lake Elmo, the Lake Elmo Fire Department, the Washington County Sheriff, and other members of the community. Due to inclement weather for the 2024 parade, the time was moved up to 11 am and we heard overwhelming feedback from new and long-time parade goers, that they loved the earlier start time! So, as we look ahead to 2025, here is what you can expect.
- In 2025, the parade will begin at 10 am (streets will start to close down at 9:15 am) -
- All event activities will begin immediately after the parade, including the Rotary Ice Cream Social, Minnow Races, Dunk Tank, and more -
- Refer to the Frequently Asked Questions for more details -
